"Out of reach" is a series taken over several years in public swimming pools (1998-2001). I was fascinated by the fact that when people swim underwater, the body makes interesting gestures, it is exposed, unaware of itself, a free weight. These things created interesting compositions for me of strangeness and intimacy which in turn become connected to the human conditions of separation and death.
